The Florence Half Marathon is an annual event that usually takes place in April. This year the event is on April 4th.

Every year, running enthusiasts from across the globe converge upon the stone streets and picturesque landmarks of Florence to participate in this remarkable race. Organized by the Florence Marathon Association, the Florence Half Marathon isn't just about the thrill of competition; it's a celebration of athleticism, camaraderie, and the enduring spirit of the Renaissance city.

The race begins on the lungarno near Piazza di Santa Croce, in front of the Biblioteca Nazionale. Participants can choose between a 21 kilometer or 10.5 kilometer race, and there is also a charity walk. This time of year is particularly appealing for running in Florence due to the favorable weather conditions.

Make sure you are aware of the date as the center of Florence will no doubt experience some traffic issues due to the race!
