Italy's face looks fresher without a layer of smoke

"GUBBIO, Italy — For a view of how Washington might look under Initiative 901, come to the towns and villages of Central Italy, where a visitor just a year ago would have eaten, drunk and slept in rooms with the stale smell of cigarette smoke.

Now, these restaurants, bars, hotels and inns are pristine, totally free of smoke, thanks to a sweeping anti-smoking law that went into full effect early this year."
