Florence's four electric minibus lines - C1, C2, C3, and C4 - are the only public transport that actually enters the pedestrianized historic center. Where the tram and full-size buses stop at the edge of the centro storico, these six-meter minibuses thread the narrow streets around the Duomo, the Uffizi, and across the Arno. The Four Lines

C1 Parterre ↔ Santa Maria Soprarno / San Giusto della Calza (Porta Romana). The main north-south link through the center, past the Duomo and Uffizi. During the day the route ends at Santa Maria Soprarno - the extension south to Porta Romana (Piazza Sauro, Pitti, San Giusto della Calza) runs only as part of night service, roughly 10 p.m.-1:30 a.m.

C2 Leopolda (Porta al Prato) ↔ Piazza Beccaria. Crosses the center via Piazza della Repubblica and Via del Proconsolo.

C3 Leopolda (Porta al Prato) ↔ Piazza Beccaria. Same two endpoints as C2, but a different route via the Oltrarno and Ponte Vecchio side of the river - check the map, not just the name, before you board.

C4 Santa Maria Maggiore ↔ Presidio Ospedaliero Palagi. Runs through Santo Spirito and the Oltrarno to the Palagi hospital.

Hours & Frequency

First departures are around 7:00 a.m. Monday through Saturday, 8:30 a.m. on Sundays and holidays. All four lines now run extended night service, with buses continuing until roughly 1:00-1:30 a.m. every night. Buses come roughly every 10-15 minutes during the day, tapering to about every 20 minutes late at night. A reduced schedule applies from late July through late August. Standard Autolinee Toscane tickets and passes are valid on all four lines, same as city buses and the tram.
