Florence Bus Station Map
In November of 2021 Autolinee Toscane became the single operator for all local and regional bus services in Florence and Tuscany, absorbing what used to be separate companies for each area - ATAF (Florence), SITA/Busitalia, CAP (Prato), Lazzi (Arezzo, Lucca, Montecatini Terme, Prato, Viareggio), PiùBus, and others. There's no longer a reason to look for those individual companies by name; everything runs through Autolinee Toscane now.
The Autostazione (bus depot) near Santa Maria Novella station handles regional routes - including the line to Siena and other major Tuscan towns - while the local Florentine buses start and end at their own stops around the city rather than at this depot. Busitalia (the old SITA operator) still runs a few routes outside Tuscany, in Umbria, Veneto, and Campania - locally, the one service that kept running under its own name is The Mall outlet shuttle; the airport route it used to operate ended in December 2022.
- Trenitalia: https://www.trenitalia.com - the main national train operator
- Italo: https://www.italotreno.it - high speed only trains with limited but substantial coverage of major cities
- Autolinee Toscane: https://www.at-bus.it/en - all local Florence buses and regional Tuscany routes
And here is a map showing the location of the Autostazione:
